FOOTBALL a thinking game?

That’s what one of our foot ball greats, Datuk Soh Chin Aun, had to say about his boys after they lost a shot at the medals in the Korat Sea Games recently.

The football team manager of Korat Sea Games was quoted as saying that our boys lacked individual skills and repeated his concerns that the nation lacked “thinking players”.

Team in Korat was without a real "play-maker" on the field. Nobody was really able to read and dictate the games well and give "direction" to other players. Coach's instruction will not be translated fully on the field without this breed of players.

Minding that the different between the SEA Games team and the Merdeka Cup champion was Nor Hafiz Zamani Misbah who were not in the Korat's losing team team due to the age limit rules. To make things worst the capable replacement , Aidil Zaquan (am I correct ?) was not able to play in the first two games due to suspension .

Short of able replacement or should all of them be a thinking player ? Start thinking........
